Pirates Have Parrots and Parrots Perch was a choreographic collaboration with Kellie Ann Lynch for Dance New Amsterdam’s Raw Material. This swashbuckling duet dissects the performer/audience relationship by climbing threw, over, and around the audience. The dancers throw imaginary swords and drink out of invisible tea cups while balancing on each other’s shoulders and plotting coordinates of adventure through exhaustive physicality and play. Performed by Kellie Lynch and Hannah Seidel as part of Dance New Amsterdam’s Raw Material Oct 2012 & by Kellie and Tara at Dance for DNA in May 2013.
