Work in Progress Showing April 17th!
March | 31 | 2010
Come have a beer and see an excerpt from The Welkin Ring!
I would love your feedback so we can continue developing the work!
Saturday, April 17 @ 8:00PM
The HATCH Performance Series
131 West 24th Street, 4th Floor,
New York, NY 10011
Tickets are $10 at the door
So please arrive early to get a seat!
Performers: Megan Bascom, Julie Bordonaro, Robin Neveu Brown, Tara Lee Burns,
Audrey Ellis and Colette Krogal
This will be an informal showing with 7 other choreographers including Allison Jones, Alisa Fendley, John J. Zullo Dance, Heather Harrington, Abdul Latif & Karen Love, BARKIN SELISSEN PROJECT and Meghann Snow & Suzanne K. Strobe.
Questions I have for the excerpt you will see: (I would love to hear your feedback after the show!!)
- I am interested in creating an environment. Does that come across?
- Which moments stand out to you the most?
- What words, stories and/or characters come to mind during the excerpt?
A little background about The Welkin Ring:
The "welkin" is the dome of the sky as described in ancient texts. The full 30 minute work will have projections creating an environment including clouds, stars and naked tree limbs. We are working with the personification of constellations including Cassiopeia, Andromeda and Virgo.
I hope to see you there!

Currently looking for collaborators for our newest project!
March | 02 | 2010
I am looking for a composer, costume designer/stylist and 3D film making consultants as well as funding opportunities for new technology research and space grants for our new project.
We are currently working on creating "the WELKIN ring." A magical world of riddles, labyrinths, bizarre creatures and fools. A trio of women in Victorian dresses sit stargazing, hopping, rolling and pointing out constellations. A duet of drunks bounce, hoist and laugh across the space. Bizarre, macabre and twisted these characters and more will live in a world of naked trees and floating raindrops.
Please contact me for more information and/or the project proposal for "the WELKIN ring" if you are interested in collaborating or know of anyone that might be interested.
